Mark Knopfler nagrał cały album „Down The Road Wherever” w swoim studiu British Grove w zachodnim Londynie. Podczas nadchodzącej trasy koncertowej będzie występował z rozbudowanym, aż dziesięcioosobowym zespołem, z którym w większości pracuje od ponad dwóch dekad. W jego skład wchodzą: Guy Fletcher (klawisze), Richard Bennett (gitara), Jim Cox (fortepian), Mike McGoldrick (gwizdek i flet), John McCusker (skrzypce i cytra), Glenn Worf (bas), Danny Cummings (perkusja) and Ian Thomas (bębny). Nowymi członkami zespołu będą: Graeme Blebins (saksofon) i Tom Walsh (trąbka).
