Redbud Tree, is the first track to be taken from what is Mark’s eighth solo album, Privateering, on Mercury Records. The song was recorded at his British Grove Studios in London with Mark on vocals and guitars, Guy Fletcher on bass, harmonium and synths, with the addition of singer Ruth Moody from The Wailin' Jennys and Paul Franklin on pedal steel. The recording was produced by Mark and assisted by co-producers Guy Fletcher and Chuck Ainlay.
