I actually started writing the lines, some of the lines for One More Matinee, which is the last song on the album...about 30 odd years ago when I went to Leeds City Varieties to interview the cast of a pantomime when I was a club reporter. I remember talking to the ugly sisters and one of them saying there's not the glamour now you see, and that was in probably about 1969 when I was a baby!
